Skopje, 2 August 2024 (MIA) - It is impermissible for there to be no official press release from the Interior Ministry over such a serious thing. There is an impression that someone wants to conceal the truth. We urge the Interior Ministry to swiftly investigate what happened and inform the public, the citizens deserve that, SDSM leader Venko Filipche said Friday, asked about the event at the Skopje Airport.

Filipche said there are several versions of the event that were being reported on Thursday evening, “the Office of the President of Kosovo described the event as a diplomatic scandal, Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi has a different view, while the official Interior Ministry is nowhere to be seen,” he said.

“I think that is absolutely impermissible because an impression is being created that someone wants to conceal the truth. The citizens don’t deserve that. We urge the Interior Ministry to swiftly investigate what happened and inform the public, the citizens deserve that. However, this doesn’t surprise me – the dissonant tones, the different views. Several things have happened over the past month. On one hand, Prime Minister Mickoski and Minister Nikoloski say one thing about the railway to Bulgaria, while Minister Mucunski says something completely different. The Prime Minister says one thing about reducing the wages of officials, while Minister Kochoska says she would leave if that were to happen,” Filipche said.
