Skopje, 14 July 2024 (MIA) - SDSM leader Venko Filipche on Sunday condemned violence the attempted assassination of former U.S. president Donald Trump. 

"It is with great regret and deep concern that I received the news of the assassination attempt on former president of the United States, Donald Trump. I condemn any attempt at violence, such acts of violence have no place in a civilized society and represent a serious attack on democratic values ​​and the rule of law," Filipche posted on Facebook. 

He added that at these difficult times, he is sending sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to the former U.S. president.

"My condolences to the families of other victims," Filipche's post reads.
