Gostivar, 1 December 2024 (MIA) — A family car with two children onboard became stuck in the snow on the local road near Mavrovo Lake on Sunday morning, the national Crisis Management Center said.

According to the CMC, Gostivar firefighters said they had responded to a 10:21 am call that people were stuck in the snow on the road to the village of Leunovo near Mavrovo Lake.

Nearly 80 cm of snow had fallen in the Mavrovo area by Sunday morning, making driving hard, according to the regional CMC in Tetovo.

Clearing the snow on Sunday was made more difficult by fallen trees on the road, they said. mr/
