Family of four from North Macedonia injured in car accident in Greece

Athens, 9 August 2024 (MIA) — A family of four from North Macedonia was injured in a car crash on the highway to Thessaloniki after they had entered Greece, when for unknown reasons, their car swerved off the road and tumbled over. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. According to local media reports, all passengers have been hospitalized, MIA's Athens correspondent reports.


According to Greek media, the accident happened around 8:15 am. 


The passengers were a married couple, aged 48 and 50, and their two children, aged 11 and 15.


It took ten firefighters with six vehicles to pull the man out of the overturned car, according to the Hellenic Fire Service, the national fire and rescue service of Greece.  


He was taken to the hospital by ambulance. mr/
