Exports up 3.2% in January-May 2025: statistics 

Skopje, 5 July 2025 (MIA) - The total value of exported goods from the Republic of North Macedonia in the period January-May 2025 amounted to 3 347.7 million euros, a 3.2% increase compared to the same period last year. The value of imported goods in the same period was 4 693.5 million euros, or 1.0% more than the same period last year, the State Statistical Office said in a press release.

The external trade by products by Standard International Trade Classification shows that in the exports the most significant products were: supported catalysts with precious metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets of a kind used in vehicles, aircraft or ships, parts of the seats of subgroup 821.1 and other supported catalysts.

In the imports, the most significant products were: petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude), other metals of the platinum group and alloys thereof, unwrought or in powder form, platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form and the electricity.

In January-May 2025, according to the total external trade volume, the most important trade partners of the Republic of North Macedonia were Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Serbia and China which make up 47.0% of the total volume of the exchange. The EU Member States are represented by 60.7% in the total exchange.
