Exhibit of works by 42 artists to mark Rodoljub Anastasov's 90th birthday

Skopje, 25 February 2025 (MIA) — An exhibition of works by 42 artists who were Rodoljub Anastasov's students will open Tuesday evening at the Museum of the City of Skopje to mark the 90th birthday of the important Macedonian painter.

 

Titled "All of Rodoljub Anastasov's Children," the art show is organized by Arhifakt association.

 

"Anastasov has given his Macedonia almost 500 works," organizers say of the prolific painter, "which is a reflection of his great patriotism."

 

But, according to organizers, what Anastasov himself considers his greatest contribution to society is that he has earned a permanent place in the hearts of his students at the School of Applied Arts (1968) and the state university's Faculty of Fine Arts (1980-2000), where he taught drawing and painting at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

 

The art show includes works from Novica Trajkovski, Katerina Apostolska di Siro, Slavcho Sokolovski, Bojana Artinovska, Jovan Shumkovski, Blagoja Manevski, Konstantin Kachev, Simonida Filipova Kitanovska, Zhaneta Vangeli, Gjorgji Tomovski, Miro Masin, Stanislava Sharovikj, Strahil Petrovski, Vancho Jakov, Malka Koneska, Boris Shemov, Elizabeta Naumcheska, Adem Sulejmanovski, Novica Arsovski, Dimitar Mladenovski, Jovan Balov, Risto Mijakovski, Julijana Geshoska, Svetlana Korunovska Adzhigogova, Violeta Siljan, Vlado Mukoski, Sonja Kunovska, Marija Velichkovska, Milosh Milosavljevikj, Aleksandar Spasovski, Vesna Nichevska, Perica Georgiev-Pepsi, Jana Kunovska, Trajche Chatmov, Gordana Vrencoska, Aleksandar Ivanov, Natasha Andonova, Vlatko Kostovski, Slobodan Binevski, Filip Blazhevski, Tanja Tanevska, and Gorjan Gjorgiev.

 

The exhibition, organized with the support of the Museum of the City of Skopje and sponsors, will run through March 18. mr/
