Delchevo, 4 August 2021 (MIA) – A wildfire near a village in the Delchevo region, eastern North Macedonia, is sweeping through several houses in the village even though army helicopters were extinguishing the fire on Wednesday morning. Inhabitants living in houses at the entrance of the village have been ordered to evacuate. Local firefighters, soldiers, local volunteers are on the site trying to localize the fire. The situation is alarming, reports MIA’s Delchevo correspondent. Although being active all day, the wildfire became stronger around 3 pm, local residents say. They are making plans to include their tractors in the firefighting efforts.
