Skopje, 4 October 2024 (MIA) - First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Izet Mexhiti, who is a part of the VLEN coalition, commenting on Menduh Thaci’s departure from the DUI-led European Front said there is no ideological alignment between the parties in the front, and they only came together to ensure their political survival.
Mexhiti told journalists Friday he is not aware of any negotiations about Thaci joining VLEN.
“I, personally, haven’t had such talks. As I said a few months ago, they didn’t come together ideologically or for some higher purpose, they only came together to survive on the political scene,” Mexhiti said.
Asked if there are plans to negotiate with DUI MPs so they join VLEN, Mexhiti said he would have more information in the coming period.
