Skopje, 4 August 2025 (MIA) – The Ministry of European Affairs and the Institute for Democracy “Societas Civilis” Skopje (IDSCS) signed on Monday a Memorandum of Cooperation, aimed at promoting the capacities of the institutions in the Republic of North Macedonia's European integration process. 

The cooperation will be implemented through participation of representatives in project activities, conferences and workshops, as well as through support for the working group set up by the Government to establish a mechanism for screening foreign direct investments and the narrower working group for drafting a bill in this area, the European Affairs Ministry said in a press release. 

In addition, reads the press release, the IDSCS will provide professional and expert support in the preparation of the negotiating position for Chapter 30 - External Relations, particularly in terms of screening of foreign direct investments and implementation of legal solutions.

The memorandum also provides for joint activities to support the implementation of commitments within the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and the Reform Agenda 2024–2027, as well as promote the benefits of reforms to the public and stakeholders.
