EU Twinning project ends with launch of manual on recognizing disinformation

Skopje, 24 January 2025 (MIA) — An EU-funded project aimed at strengthening the institutional and administrative capacities of the national broadcaster and the audiovisual media services agency is ending Friday with an event devoted to recognizing and preventing disinformation.

 

Implemented by the IRZ German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation, the "Enhancement of Capacities of the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services and the Public Service Broadcaster" EU Twinning project has run since June 2023.

 

According to a press release from the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, the final event will include a panel discussion and a launch of a manual on disinformation.

 

The project leader Holger Albrich is set to give the opening remarks, followed by speeches by the agency's council chair Lazo Petrushevski and MRTV editor-in-chief Dragan Nikolovski.

 

Panelists include EU Ambassador Michalis Rokas and German Ambassador Petra Drexler. mr/
