Skopje, 19 July 2022 (MIA) – Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said late Monday the Council of the European Union has agreed to open accession negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania. “We have taken another important step towards bringing the Western Balkans closer to the EU. It's a great success of our Presidency,” tweeted PM Fiala. He is set to meet the leaders of both countries in Brussels to discuss the next steps on their path to the EU.
