Skopje, 10 July 2025 (MIA) - The European Union Ambassador to North Macedonia, Michalis Rokas, will visit the Municipality of Ohrid on Thursday as part of an outreach initiative designed to bring the EU and the country’s integration process closer to local communities.

The visit will begin with meetings between Ambassador Rokas and Mayor Kiril Pecakov, and members of the Municipal Council, the EU delegation said in a press release.

Discussions will highlight the benefits of EU accession and showcase the concrete impact of EU support on everyday life in the region.

Following the meetings, Ambassador Rokas will visit the Ohrid Mountain Rescue Service, a project supported under the Cross-border Cooperation Programme between Albania and North Macedonia.

On 11 July, Ambassador Rokas will continue his visit in Struga, meeting with young entrepreneurs at Europe House to explore initiatives aimed at curbing youth outmigration and reinforcing the social fabric of the region.
