EU Ambassador Geer congratulates Siljanovska-Davkova on election victory

Skopje, 9 May 2024 (MIA) – EU Ambassador to the Republic of North Macedonia, David Geer, congratulated Thursday morning Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova on her victory in Wednesday’s presidential elections.

“Congratulations to Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova upon her election as president of North Macedonia. Looking forward to working closely with her for the European future of the country,” Geer wrote on X.

Based on the latest results released on the State Election Commission's website, VMRO-DPMNE candidate Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova secured 560,170 votes (65.14%), while her rival, Stevo Pendarovski from SDSM, garnered 251,541 votes (29.25%).
