Skopje, 5 July 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Epsotech company representative promoted on Friday an upcoming investment worth EUR 20 million, announcing at least 110 new jobs in the country mostly from the engineering profession, new machines and technology. 

The German-Belgian investment will be launched in August with the construction of a facility outside the industrial-technological zones on the territory of the Municipality of Petrovec, and it is expected to quickly double. 

"Epsotech has 60 years of experience, and we bring many skills. We hope to create more than 110 jobs here, which will be mostly in the mechanical and engineering branch. We would like to start with the construction of a new building, i.e. with an investment of approximately EUR 20 million. We want to expand our activities with production facilities here in Skopje, i.e. to work on opening a plant and new machines. We already have six subsidiaries in Europe, this will be our seventh," the Epsotech representative said.

According to PM Mickoski, the investment is expected to be at least doubled.

"It is our honour and pleasure to welcome yet another investment in less than two weeks. To start with, the investment involves opening of 110 new jobs, and development of a research centre, which has been missing until now. But this investment does not stop here, the number of employees and exports will continue to increase, as well as the investment itself, which we expect to be at least doubled. The company is a market leader in Germany and is present there with 25 percent, which is a significant recommendation for us because we expect a large part of the companies that the investor supplies with their products, to follow the example and come here to invest. Our goal is to love Macedonia with deeds," said Mickoski.
