Skopje, 24 July 2025 (MIA) - The Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning signed Thursday agreements with 33 municipalities for realization of 44 projects through investment programmes for sewerage and water supply networks.
Minister Izet Mexhiti said the projects would contribute to a better standard of life for citizens and a healther environment.
"Today, we signed 44 projects in 33 municipalities, both headed by the ruling and opposition parties, regardless of ethnicity. These are projects that have a direct impact on the citizens' standard of life and the environment. They focus mainly on sewerage and water supply networks," said Mexhiti.
He added that the funds are provided from the budget of the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning.
"These funds are earmarked and have nothing to do with the Hungarian loan or other financing sources. These are ministry funds allocated for nearly half of the municipalities nationwide," noted Mexhiti.
