Eleven Macedonian nationals discharged from hospital after Italy bus accident
- Following Thursday’s traffic accident in Italy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its Embassy in Rome, has confirmed that 11 passengers from North Macedonia, who suffered minor injuries, after receiving appropriate medical care were discharged yesterday from a hospital in the city of San Benedetto del Tronto.

Skopje, 5 April 2024 (MIA) - Following Thursday’s traffic accident in Italy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its Embassy in Rome, has confirmed that 11 passengers from North Macedonia, who suffered minor injuries, after receiving appropriate medical care were discharged yesterday from a hospital in the city of San Benedetto del Tronto.
As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the second passenger, our citizen, is currently hospitalized in Ancona, where he will undergo surgical intervention for the leg and arm injuries.
“The Ministry, through its Embassy in Rome, remains in continuous communication with the relevant Italian authorities that are working to clear up the case,” the Ministry said.
The tourist bus, operated by a travel agency from North Macedonia, was involved in an accident which occurred on the motorway between the cities of Ascoli Piceno and Ancona in Italy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, citing information it received from North Macedonia’s Embassy in Rome.
The driver of a tourist bus, a Macedonian national with the initials R.I. born in 1965, died in a traffic accident in Italy. Twelve of the passengers on the bus, all Macedonian nationals, suffered minor injuries, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release Thursday.
