Electricity bills 11.2% higher than last year
Skopje, 30 September 2022 (MIA) — Electricity bills were 11.2 percent higher in the first half of 2022 than in the previous six months, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistical Office. “In the first semester of 2022, the average electricity price for households in the Republic of North Macedonia was 5.761 denars/KWh, which represents an increase of 11.2% compared to the second semester of 2021,” the SSO press release says. “The average electricity price without value added tax for non-household consumers is between 10.316 and 14.782 denars/KWh by consumer bands. “The average price of natural gas without value added tax for non-household consumers is between 57.840 and 65.380 denars/nm3 by consumer bands,” the release adds. mr/
