Skopje, 14 January 2024 (MIA) - An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale was registered 173 km southwest of Skopje with the epicentre in Albania on Sunday at 12:17 am, according to the Seismological Observatory at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Skopje.

"The earthquake was felt in Ohrid, Struga, Gostivar and Skopje, measuring three to four degrees according to the European macroseismic scale (EMS)," the Seismological Observatory said.
