Skopje, 11 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Economy and Labor Besar Durmishi met Thursday with French Ambassador Cyrille Baumgartner, discussing cooperation between the two countries with focus on the economy, including France's support over the country's EU integration process. 

"Minister Durmishi noted that the economic cooperation between Macedonia and France is excellent and intensive, and France's support is of great importance for the country’s integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures," the Ministry of Economy and Labor said in a press release. 

Interlocutors concurred that there is will and potential for the mutual cooperation to expand across several areas, specifically regarding investments from interested French companies, engaging in the construction of capital projects in the energy sector and increasing the number of French tourists in our country, and vice versa. 

Minister Durmishi thanked the Ambassador for France's support for North Macedonia, and especially its support for the Ministry of Economy and Labor. 

Ambassador Baumgartner also thanked the minister for the meeting, promising that France's support for North Macedonia as a friendly country will continue in the future, the press release reads.ssh/ad/
