Skopje, 21 July 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Economy and Labor Besar Durmishi met Monday with an official delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan led by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, the Ministry of Economy and Labor said in a press release.

“Your visit today is not just a diplomatic gesture, but a symbolic and meaningful moment. This anniversary is an opportunity for reflection, but also for vision – to strengthen and deepen our economic and strategic cooperation,” Durmishi said.

The meeting highlighted the interest in cooperation in energy, agriculture, tourism, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure and investments in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Minister Durmishi said the meeting represents “a bridge toward the southern gas corridor, the markets of the Caucasus, and a shared, stable and economically interconnected future.”

“I am convinced that this is just the beginning of a new, stronger partnership,” Durmishi underscored.
