DUI should reform and adapt to being in opposition, Taravari tells Ahmeti

Skopje, 14 November 2024 (MIA) - Health Minister Arben Taravari, who is also the leader of the Alliance for Albanians (AA) party, told DUI leader Ali Ahmeti on Thursday to focus more on reforms in his party and adapt to being in opposition, rather than seek elections.
In response to a reporter's question about early elections next year, the Health Minister said elections will certainly be held next year, but it will be local elections.
"If we have a broader consensus and interest in parliamentary elections, we are here to talk about it. But the elections were held five or six months ago. So, I would recommend Ahmeti to focus more on reforms in the party and adapt to being in the opposition, rather than seek elections. Because if elections are held again next year, in 2026 he will seek elections again. So yes, let us first, as Government, implement the projects promised. Some of them are already being implemented," said Taravari.
