DUI leader Ahmeti meets British Ambassador Lawson

Skopje, 24 January 2023 (MIA) – DUI leader Ali Ahmeti met Tuesday with British Ambassador to North Macedonia Matthew Lawson.  

Ahmeti and Lawson discussed the importance of political stability, the European alliance, unity for adopting constitutional amendments and the country’s full focus on implementing reforms to speed up the process of integration in the European Union, DUI said in a press release.  

Ahmeti expressed gratitude for the British support to the processes of the country’s democratic and economic development, NATO membership and integration in the European Union, as well as the constructive support in overcoming disputes in the spirit of good neighborliness and moving forward on the European path.  

In addition, Ahmeti briefed Ambassador Lawson on the rallies that DUI holds under the motto “Together towards Europe” to convey a clear message of joining forces in the integration mission.  

Ambassador Lawson reiterated British support for North Macedonia’s European integration, as well as the reforms in the country, and the great interest in increasing British investment in the country.
