Draft parliamentary rulebook on agenda of today's plenary session

Skopje, 3 October 2023 (MIA) - The draft Rules of Procedure of North Macedonia's Parliament in its first reading is on the agenda of the 127th plenary session on Tuesday.
Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi has submitted in Parliament the proposal for an updated Rules of Procedure. The updates to the Rules of Procedure for the work of the Parliament are a result of Jean Monnet Dialogue participants' dedicated work over many years.
Under the proposed Rules of Procedure, provisions are to be applied from the next parliamentary composition, which has in fact contributed a lot to the adoption of impartial decisions with consensus for both MPs from the ruling party and MPs in the opposition.
Tuesday's plenary session also includes the draft law on the ratification of amendments to the agreement establishing the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, draft law on the ratification of the agreement on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, the updated draft law amending the law on food safety in second reading, the draft decision on electing members to the inquiry committee into the Oncology Clinic case, etc.
The Parliament's 125th and 126th sessions are also scheduled for Tuesday.
