Skopje, 2 May 2024 (MIA) – ZNAM Movement leader Maksim Dimitrievski said the party expects even greter support from the citizens in the parliamentary elections. He added that he perceives ZNAM as a third political force.
"I will build my policy, together with my team, on the basis of principles and if Macedonia is in a situation in which stability needs to be ensured, then the party interests will come second, and the national and state interests will come first. Macedonia is more than in need of national, Macedonian unification, following the example of the Albanians," Dimitrievski told TV24 on Thursday.
I perceive ZNAM, he pointed out, as a third political force, and in the next elections I will do everything, together with my team, for ZMAM to emerge as a second political force in the country.
"I believe that we offer correct policies that can make Macedonia a country for all its citizens. A self-sustaining country, in which people will live with dignity and no one will want to leave," said Dimitrievski.
He pointed out that he was done with SDSM, while a coalition with VMRO-DPMNE would depend on the situation after the elections.
"The decisions will be made by the organs and bodies of ZNAM, and in addition, we do not seek power at any cost and the option to remain in the opposition is possible," he said.
He reiterated that DUI was an undesirable partner. According to him, DUI should be punished with absence from the government for the benefit of all citizens. He stressed that punishing DUI does not mean punishing the Albanians.
He urged for massive voter turnout on May 8 and called on citizens to support a presidential candidate according to their own conviction.
