Dimitrieska-Kocoska’s meetings in Budapest: Gov’t focuses on investments, Hungarian support key to economic development

Skopje, 4 March 2025 (MIA) – Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kocoska alongside Minister of Transport and Communications, Aleksandar Nikoloski as part of the Hungarian-Macedonian summit met Tuesday with the Hungary’s Minister of National Economy of Hungary, Márton Nagy, and the Minister of Construction and Transport, János Lázár.

The meeting reaffirmed the excellent economic and political relations between the two countries, with both sides expressing their willingness to enhance and deepen cooperation, the Ministry of Finance said in a press release.

“During the meeting, the Macedonian side emphasized that the Government places a particular focus on the implementation of public investments, especially in infrastructure. This year’s budget supports these investment plans with a substantial allocation. Additionally, it was highlighted that Hungary’s support, realized through the approval of the loan, represents direct assistance to the domestic economy and contributes to achieving stronger economic growth,” the Ministry of Finance stated.

The ministers expressed their gratitude for the Hungarian Government’s generosity in supporting North Macedonia’s economic strengthening and its European integration process.
