Skopje, 4 June 2025 (MIA) – Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska and new National Bank Governor Trajko Slaveski agreed that maintaining macroeconomic stability remains a top priority, requiring coordinated and well-aligned policies.
Dimitrieska-Kochoska and Slaveski exchanged opinions on ongoing economic challenges and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing the coordination between the Ministry of Finance and the National Bank, with the goal of adopting sustainable policies that benefit both citizens and the business community, the Ministry of Finance said.
The importance of close cooperation between fiscal and monetary authorities was also emphasized as a key precondition to ensure a predictable economic environment, recognized as a fundamental condition for accelerating economic growth.
The discussion also underscored the significance of a coordinated approach among all financial regulators in the country, with the goal of advancing a stable, competitive, and inclusive financial system, resilient to external shocks and supportive of long-term economic development.
Finance Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska and Governor Slaveski affirmed their commitment to continued institutional communication and collaboration to effectively manage current and future economic challenges, the Ministry of Finance noted.
