Skopje, 17 August 2025 (MIA) - The Macedonian language lives, evolves and continues its centuries-old mission, said Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska, who attended Friday's opening of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University’s 58th Summer School of the International Seminar on Macedonian Language, Literature, and Culture in Ohrid.

Over the 80 years since the codification, the Macedonian language is our strongest bridge to the world and the safeguard of our cultural heritage, Dimitrieska Kochoska posted on Facebook.

After the opening of the Summer School, the Minister was awarded a certificate of appreciation "Synergies" as a sign of support and affirmation of Macedonian studies.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary since the codification of the Macedonian standard language, the Ministry of Education and Science adopted a special program to mark this significant anniversary. The program features several activities. The International Seminar on Macedonian Language, Literature and Culture is held in August, including events to mark the anniversary of Ss.
