Dimitrieska Kochoska attends OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes
- Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska is participating in the plenary meeting of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), taking place in Paraguay through November 29.
Skopje, 26 November 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska is participating in the plenary meeting of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), taking place in Paraguay through November 29.
The forum is dedicated to the global implementation of international standards of tax transparency and progress of countries, as well as the challenges that countries face in implementing the standards.
The Finance Minister is accompanied by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Andriana Matlioska.
According to the Ministry, Dimitrieska Kochoska will address priorities, experience and challenges in implementing the Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) Standard, which is a key tool for jurisdictions, i.e. countries, in the fight against tax evasion and in protecting the integrity of tax systems.
At the meeting, the Global Forum Secretariat will present the support provided to members in the process of implementing the standards. The Global Forum consists of over 170 jurisdictions, including G20 countries, financial centres, and most of the members are developing countries. All members participate on an equal footing in the fight against offshore tax evasion.
The Republic of North Macedonia has been a member of the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes since January 2011.
