Deputy PM Nikoloski meets Chairman of Prague Airport Board of Directors, Pos

Skopje, 10 March 2025 (MIA) - A flight connection between Skopje and Prague, cooperation between the two airports and new air routes were discussed at a meeting Monday in Prague between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski and Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Václav Havel Airport Prague.

According to the Ministry of Transport, Deputy PM Nikoloski underscored the Government’s commitment to encouraging and developing the country’s air traffic, noting that it is implementing policies to establish a broad network of routes through Europe and the world. 

At the meeting, Nikoloski presented the opportunities and conditions offered by the country to new airlines interested in operating from the country’s two airports. 

“The issue of cooperation between the airport in Prague and the Skopje International Airport was raised at the meeting, as well as the possibility of establishing a new route between Skopje and Prague, considering the good bilateral relations and the need for closer communication between the two nations,” the Ministry of Transport said in a press release.

Deputy PM Nikoloski also presented the potential of the airport in Ohrid and the tourism opportunities in the Ohrid-Struga region, with interlocutors assessing the possibility of establishing a route connecting Ohrid and Karlovy Vary.

As part of his working visit to Prague, Deputy PM Nikoloski also met with representatives of Czech car manufacturer Škoda Auto to discuss future cooperation.

In Czechia, Nikoloski will participate in the plenary session of the joint committee on economic cooperation between the two countries.
