Skopje, 5 February 2025 (MIA) - First Deputy PM Izet Mexhiti met with Congressman Pete Sessions during his official visit to the United States, discussing bilateral relations and possibilities for enlargement of cooperation in fields of mutual interest.

Deputy PM Mexhiti said U.S. support is crucial for the democratic and Euro-Atlantic development of North Macedonia, the Democratic Movement said in a press release.

"I have realized over the course of my visits to Washington that we are blessed by the friendship and support from the U.S. Bilateral ties will intensify in the interest of the citizens and our societies," said Mexhiti.

The meeting is part of the Deputy PM's efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships and promote North Macedonia's interests on the international stage, reads the release.
