Deputy PM Fetai meets Montenegrin counterpart Koprivica

Skopje, 10 March 2025 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister for Good Governance Arben Fetai met Monday in Skopje with the Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Judiciary, and Anti-Corruption, Momo Koprivica, Fetai’s office said in a press release.
According to the press release, talks between the two deputy prime ministers focused on reforms as part of chapters 23 and 24 of the EU accession negotiations relating to the rule of law, fundamentals and internal affairs.
Fetai noted his commitment to the process, stating that a methodology is being drafted for the monitoring of the implementation of anti-corruption measures which is meant to aid in the assessment of the progress of the fight against corruption and efforts to strengthen the rule of law.
The Deputy PM also spoke of activities to organize a regional anti-corruption conference that would serve as a platform for the exchange of experiences and strengthening of anti-corruption mechanisms in line with European standards.
The Montenegrin Deputy PM stressed the importance of boosting anti-corruption mechanisms, especially in cross-border cooperation. According to the press release, Koprivica described North Macedonia as a key partner in the European integration process and an important ally in NATO.
“Both sides agreed to continue cooperation and intensify efforts in support of reforms that are strengthening the rule of law and accelerating the region’s European integration process,” the press release said.
