Deputy PM Bytyqi holds meeting with companies with technologically advanced production
Skopje, 23 December 2021 (MIA) – The government remains open to cooperation with all stakeholders in the society to create the best possible solutions for sustainable and accelerated economic growth of the country, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi said Thursday holding a regular meeting with the association of foreign companies with technologically advanced production.
Issues in relation to the regular operations of the companies were discussed as well as the measures for support of further development and the activities taken by the government to improve the business climate, the government said.
Deputy PM Bytyqi thanked the business community for taking active part in processes of the government, said the press release.
Following an eight-month discussion, the government in December passed amendments to the law on customs tariffs to align customs tariffs with European norms on 258 customs codes. It is expected to provide increased competitiveness of the domestic companies and predictability of the processes, said Bytyqi.
Most companies with technically advanced productions are open in the industrial development zones, said Jovan Despotovski, head of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones, announcing that nearly EUR 15 million is planned in the coming period for infrastructural projects in several industrial zones.
Representatives of 25 companies with technologically advanced production attended the meeting.
