Deputy Minister Trajkov attends 6th WB6 Youth Forum 2024 in Berlin

Skopje, 14 October 2024 (MIA) - Deputy Minister of European Affairs Viktorija Trajkov took part in the 6th Western Balkans Youth Forum within the 2024 Berlin Process Summit.

Deputy Minister Trajkov presented priorities and policies for young people that are part of the program of the Macedonian Government and the opportunities for young people, especially regarding their formal and informal education during country's EU membership, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.

At the invitation of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), the largest organization for youth policies, Trajkov took part in a panel on European projects intended for young people in the Western Balkans, use of exchange programs, as well as the importance of access funds in the area of youth policies.

"Latest data shows that 32,000 students took part in EU's Erasmus+ Programme alone, which is of great importance to us because they acquired knowledge and experience abroad, and shared it among their own in the county," Trajkov said.

Head of Division, Western Balkans, at the German Federal Foreign Office, Niels Von Redecker, Secretary-General of the Franco-German Youth Office, Tobias Bütow, and European Youth Forum Board President, Chloë Cauchi, also took part in the panel.

According to the Ministry of European Affairs, the plans and program of the new Macedonian Government are fully committed to keeping young people in the country. To achieve this, the Ministry stresses, we need reform and integration in the European Union.ssh/nn/
