Dendias expresses satisfaction with first intergovernmental conference for N. Macedonia and Albania after meeting with Baerbock
Athens, 29 July 2022 (MIA) – We are very satisfied with the convening of the first intergovernmental conference for Albania and North Macedonia, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias told a press conference after Friday’s meeting with German counterpart Annalena Baerbock in Athens, pointing out that Greece has helped and will continue to help the two countries on their European path, MIA’s Athens correspondent reports.   Talks focused on a number of topics of both mutual and regional interest, including bilateral relations, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, migrant issue, Greece-Turkey relations, as well as developments in the Western Balkans.   “Our views coincide, because both countries believe that the future of the region is the European family, and we should neither allow balkanization of the Western Balkans nor allow revisionist forces nor revisionist ideologies fill the void. We are very satisfied with the convening of the first intergovernmental conference for Albania and North Macedonia. Greece tried as much as it can to help these two countries on their European path and will continue to do so,” Dendias said.   He added that talks with Baerbock also tackled the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.   Photo: Greek MFA
