December industry turnover up by 1.6%: statistics

Skopje, 15 February 2024 (MIA) – Industry turnover in December 2023 increased by 1.6 percent compared to December 2022, said the State Statistical Office on Thursday.

 

The total turnover by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2023, in comparison with December 2022, was higher in Capital goods by 0.6 percent and Non-durable consumer goods by 8.1 percent, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 2.9 percent and Durable consumer goods by 6.9 percent.

 

The total industry turnover in December dropped by 14.2 percent compared to November 2023, while in the period January-December 2023, compared to January-December 2022, it grew by 2.2 percent.

 

On the domestic market, industry turnover dropped by 0.1 percent in December 2023, compared to December 2022.

 

The turnover in industry on the domestic market by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2023, in comparison with December 2022, was higher in Capital goods by 1.9 percent and Non-durable consumer goods by 7.9 percent, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 10.2 percent and Durable consumer goods by 7.4 percent.

 

On the non-domestic market, industry turnover rose by 2.3 percent in December 2023 compared to December 2022. The turnover in industry on the non-domestic market by Main Industrial Groupings was higher in Capital goods by 0.4 percent, Durable consumer goods by 5.2 percent and Non-durable consumer goods by 10.6 percent, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 0.8 percent.
