Dacic: Our countries committed to further strengthening of relations for more prosperous future

Skopje, 16 September 2023 (MIA) - Today's air show, which includes the Macedonian and Serbian aviation, but also the civil and military aviations of Italy, Greece and other countries, is a clear indicator about the interest of states, economies and citizens to foster even better mutual relations, but also a testimony of the awareness on the joint responsibility for maintenance of peace and security as prerequisites for accelerated economic and societal development, said Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic at the event marking the 100th anniversary of Macedonian aviation at Stenkovec recreational airfield on Saturday.

"Observance of 100 years of Macedonian aviation in Skopje is a good opportunity to put into operation all unused potentials that are there for an even more versatile and mutual benefit and development of our relations. Our countries enjoy brotherly relations and excellent cooperation within the Open Balkan initiative and other regional fora," said FM Dacic.

Today's event, he added, sends a political message that our countries are committed to further strengthening of relations for a more prosperous future of citizens.

"Serbia and its people wish the Macedonian people and all citizens of North Macedonia lots of success and let planes fly over the area only for enjoyment not military purposes," said Dacic.
