DA leader: No substantial changes in revised French proposal
Skopje, 4 July 2022 (MIA) - There are no substantial changes in the revised French proposal compared to the first one. All Bulgarian demands have been included in a subtle way and now they've become European demands. It is not over yet since it is only a draft document, Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Pavle Trajanov said Monday.
Efforts should be made to prevent everything that has been imposed by the Bulgarian side to be included in the negotiating framework, he warned.
"We should have the same criteria as the other countries. The voice of the people should be heard. The government should also take into consideration the serious remarks about the French proposal by some key experts," Trajanov told Sitel TV.
The Democratic Alliance, he said, insists that there should be a wide-ranging debate and that the citizens should be informed about the proposal.
The establishment of a parliamentary inter-party working body is being considered in order to prepare and align conclusions to be debated at a session in Parliament, according to him.
"The working group should be formed as soon as possible to start working on conclusions before being offered to Parliament. If the negotiating framework is rejected, all parties should bear shared responsibility," Trajanov said.
