Skopje, 26 November 2022 (MIA) - Customs officers discovered and seized on Friday 26,000 ecstasy pills, with a total weight of 12 kilograms, 84 grams of cocaine and 31 grams of marijuana estimated to be worth €200,000, which were to be distributed in the country. The narcotic drug was found early on Friday after customs carried out mobile scanner control on a car with foreign license plates driven by a Macedonian citizen at the Tabanovce border crossing, the Customs Administration said in a press release on Saturday. Additional searches were conducted at several locations and criminal charges were filed against three persons to the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office. On the same day, following search warrants, the inspectors from the Customs Administration in cooperation with police officers conducted searches on several addresses in Skopje and Tetovo. Additional evidence was found and two more people were arrested.
