Croatian-Serbian film ‘The Uncle’ to be shown at Manaki Brothers Film Festival in Bitola
Bitola, 24 August 2022 (MIA) – Feature film The Uncle, Croatian-Serbian co-production directed by David Kapac and Andrija Mardešić, with Miloš Jaćimović as the cinematographer, will be screened on Wednesday as part of the “Camera 300” competition at the Manaki Brothers International Cinematographers’ Film Festival in Bitola. The Uncle saw its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary festival in the Czech Republic, where it received the “Proxima” award, afterwards it was screened at the film festival in Pula, Croatia, where the directors and screenwriters Kapac and Mardešić received the best screenplay award. Most recently the film was screened at the European Film Festival in Palic, near Subotica. The international presentation of The Uncle, starring famous Serbian actor Predrag ‘Miki’ Manojlović in the leading role, will continue on Wednesday evening in Bitola at the Manaki Brothers festival. The Italian "The Eight Mountains" with Ruben Impens' cinematography, will also be screened on Wednesday as part of the competition. ad/nn/
