Croatian PM Plenković extends condolences over Kochani fatal fire

Zagreb, 16 March 2025 (MIA) - Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković spoke early Sunday with Macedonian counterpart Hristijan Mickoski and extended his condolences over the fire during a concert in Kochani, which claimed the lives of over 50 people, with over 100 others injured, said the Croatian government.
"We are shaken and mourn over the devastating tragedy that cut the lives of many young people too short," Plenković told Mickoski.
He added that Croatia stands in solidarity with North Macedonia "amid these moments of unimaginable sorrow".
"On behalf of the government of the Republic of Croatia and me personally, I extend deepest condolences to you, the Macedonian people, the victims' families and friends. I wish the injured a speedy recovery," said Plenković.
