COVID-19: 920 new cases, 1,190 recoveries, 11 die
Skopje, 13 February 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 920 new COVID-19 infections after 3,338 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, as well as 11 deaths and 1,190 recoveries, the Health Ministry said on Sunday. Of the new cases, 502 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 54, Kumanovo – 48, Veles – 40, Tetovo – 35, Prilep – 31, Kavadarci – 27, Shtip – 24, Kichevo – 20, Strumica – 18, Gostivar – 18, Ohrid – 16, Negotino – 14, Gevgelija – 12, Kochani – 11, Sveti Nikole – 8, Kriva Palanka – 8, Struga – 7, Resen – 5, Demir Kapija – 4, Vinica – 4, Debar – 4, Bogdanci – 3, Kratovo – 3, Delchevo – 2, Probishtip – 1, and Radovish - 1. In addition, 119 of the total number of new cases (920) are reinfections. Eleven deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including 6 in Skopje (aged 61, 66, 67, 72, 78 and 83), two in Bitola (66 and 88), one in Ohrid (91), one in Strumica (77), and one in Tetovo (72). Six of those who died (11) were fully vaccinated. At the moment, 11,135 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,846,264 tests, recording 287,016 COVID-19 cases and 267,134 recoveries. The death toll has reached 8,747.
