COVID-19: 89 new cases, 125 recoveries, one fatality
Skopje, 16 September 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 89 new COVID-19 cases after 656 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, one death was reported, while 125 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Friday.
Of the new cases, 44 were registered in Skopje, followed by Prilep – 7, Bitola – 6, Veles - 6, Kavadarci – 4, Kumanovo – 4, Ohrid – 4, Resen – 3, Shtip – 2, Kichevo – 2, Gevgelija – 2, Kriva Palanka – 2, Strumica – 1, Kochani – 1, and Struga – 1.
One person died, from Strumica, aged 71.
At the moment, 689 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,161,598 tests, recording 342,075 COVID-19 cases and 331,865 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,521.
