COVID-19: 815 new cases, 1,252 recoveries, two die
Skopje, 2 August 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 815 new COVID-19 cases after 1,814 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, two deaths were reported, while 1,252 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday. Of the new cases, 320 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 63, Kumanovo – 48, Tetovo – 44, Kavadarci – 35, Prilep – 32, Veles – 27, Gostivar – 26, Strumica – 26, Ohrid – 24, Shtip – 23, Kichevo – 19, Radovish – 18, Gevgelija – 17, Negotino – 16, Struga – 13, Kochani – 9, Resen – 8, Debar – 6, Berovo – 6, Kriva Palanka – 5, Valandovo – 5, Krushevo – 4, Sveti Nikole – 3, Delchevo – 3, Vinica – 3, Bogdanci – 3, Demir Hisar – 3, Makedonski Brod – 2, Probishtip – 1, Kratovo – 1, and Makedonska Kamenica – 1. Two persons died, both from Veles (aged 74 and 86). According to the e-registry of COVID-19 fatalities, two people died, both from Skopje, between July 19-29. At the moment, 4,535 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,120,452 tests, recording 328,995 COVID-19 cases and 315,083 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,377.
