COVID-19: 77 new cases, 101 recoveries, no deaths
Skopje, 6 May 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 77 new COVID-19 infections after 1,084 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. No fatalities were reported in the same time period, the Health Ministry said Friday. A total of 101 recoveries were registered, according to data from the Public Health Institute. Of the new cases, 29 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 20, Prilep – 5, Veles – 5, Gostivar – 5, Ohrid – 5, Tetovo – 2, Kumanovo – 1, Kavadarci – 1, Strumica – 1, Kochani – 1, Struga – 1, and Gevgelija – 1. In addition, 8 of the total number of new cases (77) are re-infections. At the moment, 648 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,027,591 tests, recording 310,140 COVID-19 cases and 300,208 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,284.
