COVID-19: 68 new cases, 40 recoveries, three deaths
Skopje, 27 October 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 68 new COVID-19 infections after 659 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, 40 patients recovered and three deaths were reported, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.  Of the new cases, 50 were recorded in Skopje, followed by Prilep – 5, Kavadarci – 3, Shtip – 3, Kumanovo – 2, Bitola – 2, Veles – 2, and Kichevo - 1.  One patient from Skopje (aged 83) died in hospital in the past 24 hours, and two backlogged deaths were added to the country’s SARS-CoV-2 death toll. The two people who died in Bitola and Prilep were aged 81 and 71, respectively. Their deaths were logged in the period 18-28 September, 2022.  There are 265 active cases nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,181,930 tests, recording 344,031 COVID-19 cases and 334,202 recoveries. The death toll stands at 9,564.
