COVID-19: 64 new cases, 296 recoveries, 2 die
Skopje, 21 March 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 64 new COVID-19 infections after 965 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, two patients died and 296 recovered, the Health Ministry said on Monday. Of the new cases, 50 were registered in Skopje, followed by Prilep – 5, Kavadarci – 5, Bitola – 1, Tetovo – 1, Kriva Palanka – 1, and Vinica – 1. In addition, 12 of the total number of new cases (64) are re-infections. Two patients died, one from Skopje (aged 63) and one from Strumica (77). According to the Covid-diagnosed fatality registry, two people died between March 5-12. At the moment, 1,890 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,938,935 tests, recording 303,418 COVID-19 cases and 292,344 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,184.
