COVID-19: 600 new cases, 743 patients recover, 6 die
Skopje, 11 August 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia reported on Thursday 600 new COVID-19 infections, including 134 reinfections, after a total of 1,317 tests conducted in the past 24 hours. Also, the Public Health Institute reported 743 recoveries and six deaths, said the Health Ministry.
Skopje reported 229 new cases out of the confirmed infections.
Six patients died in the past 24 hours, including two from Skopje (aged 66 and 75), two from Ohrid (both aged 83), one from Resen (aged 72), and one from Radovish (aged 72), said the press release.
In addition, four Covid-related fatalities were reported after being registered between the period of July 16 and August 8.
At the moment, 4,089 cases are active nationwide, including 1,582 in the capital Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,133,045 tests, recording 333,948 COVID-19 cases and 320,449 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,410.
