COVID-19: 593 new cases and 10 deaths in past 24 hours
Skopje, 2 November 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia on Tuesday reported 593 new COVID-19 infections after 3,391 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. Also, 10 fatalities and 415 recoveries were registered in the same period, the Health Ministry said. Of the new infections, Skopje registered 272. Ten people died in the past 24 hours including four in Skopje, aged 70, 71, 84 and 85. Gostivar, Kavadarci, Prilep, Ohrid, Kochani and Shtip recorded one fatality each, said the press release. “According to the register of fatalities who were diagnosed with COVID-19, there were four people who died on Oct. 22-30. Two people died in hospital and two others at home,” added the press release. There are 6,875 active cases nationwide, including 3,414 in Skopje. A total of 1,390,369 COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 203,298 confirmed coronavirus cases and 189,264 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,159.
