COVID-19: 568 new cases and 12 deaths in past 24 hours
Skopje, 2 November 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia on Wednesday reported 568 new COVID-19 infections after 3,594 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. Also, 12 fatalities and 293 recoveries were registered in the same period, the Health Ministry said. Of the new infections, Skopje registered 230. Twelve people died in the past 24 hours including five in Skopje with the youngest patient being 44 years old. Kavaradci reported two deaths and Tetovo, Negotino, Kumanovo, Kochani and Demir Hisar reported one each. “According to the register of fatalities who were diagnosed with COVID-19, there were seven people who died on Oct. 14-30. Five people died in hospital and two others at home,” added the press release. There are 6,131 active cases nationwide, including 3,467 in Skopje. A total of 1,393,963 COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has registered 203,866 confirmed coronavirus cases and 189,557 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,178.
