COVID-19: 53 new cases, 94 recoveries

Skopje, 7 June 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 53 new COVID-19 cases, including nine reinfections, after 1,185 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, while 94 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
Of the new cases, 38 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 6, Kumanovo – 2, Tetovo – 1, Ohrid – 1, Shtip – 1, Strumica – 1, Kichevo – 1, Berovo – 1, and Vinica -1.
No deaths were reporter in the past 24 hours. According to the e-registry of Covid-related fatalities, one person from Skopje, aged 53, and one person from Ohrid, aged 78, died in hospital in the period May 3-8, 2022.
At the moment, 432 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,061,739 tests, recording 312,345 COVID-19 cases and 302,602 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,311.
